Flash and HTML portfolios of animations, illustrations, and other designs
by Dave Herring, an award-winning professional
artist. This site shows samples of his work and describes the services we provide.

Viewing Art by Herring
The largest, best-quality images with lots of animation are in the Flash
Portfolio,
which requires the Macromedia
Flash Player and is designed for high-speed Internet connections. Most
files are 400 to 500 megs, viewed easily with a high-speed connection. (If
you have a slower modem, use the HTML Portfolio -- see details near the bottom of this column.)
After selecting any specific image within one of the eleven categories of the Flash
Portfolio, you
can then cycle through all the images in that category with the NEXT and
PREV buttons (lower left of screen). When you're finished viewing the
portfolio, click "Leave Flash Portfolio" at the bottom of the
screen, or close the window.
Especially
interested in animation and special effects? In the Flash Portfolio, be sure to visit Children, Nature, Objects, Space, Sports, and Technology. Some animations begin automatically or when you roll your cursor over them; others have labels such as "Animation"
or "Click Me."
If you have a
slower modem, we strongly recommend the HTML Portfolio,
designed especially for you. It has the same material as the Flash Portfolio, but the images are smaller, with very little animation, so they load faster.
After selecting any category or image within the HTML
Portfolio, you can use links near the bottom of each page to view
the images. You can also cycle through the entire portfolio with the NEXT
button (on the left, under categories).
To try the Flash
Portfolio with a slower modem, be sure to start with the upper
left image in each category, as this portion will load first. The
NEXT and PREV buttons work only after the required image is fully downloaded.
